Did you know, it can take up to 2,000 positive associations before a puppy recognises their own name as belonging to them?
To get your puppy to learn their name you should get in the habit of giving them small bits of food or treats (ideally healthy), and saying their name as you do so.
Also try saying the puppy’s name randomly throughout the day, and as soon as they turn to look at you give them lots of praise. Praise can be in the form of a little treat, a quick game, or just lots of positive affirmation, like ‘Yes, good boy/girl’.
